1. Overview
At Backyard At Ease, a division of Bedexx LLC, we stand behind the quality of our products. All products sold through our website are covered by manufacturer warranties that protect against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
This Warranty Policy explains warranty coverage, limitations, exclusions, and the claims process for products purchased from backyardatease.com.
2. Manufacturer's Warranty Coverage
Warranty Provider:
All warranties are provided by the product manufacturer, not by Backyard At Ease. We facilitate warranty claims and work directly with manufacturers to ensure resolution, but warranty terms, coverage, and approval are determined by the manufacturer.
Warranty Terms:
Specific coverage details—including warranty duration, covered components, and terms—vary by product and manufacturer. Warranty information can be found:
- In the product manual or user guide included with your purchase
- On the product packaging or warranty card
- On the manufacturer's website
- On individual product pages on our website (when available)
Typical Warranty Duration:
Most products carry warranties ranging from:
- 1 year for electronic components and smart features
- 2-5 years for structural components and burner systems
- Lifetime warranties on select premium products
If you're unsure about your product's warranty coverage, contact our support team at support@backyardatease.com or +1 (270) 770-3553 for assistance.
3. What Is Covered
Manufacturer warranties typically cover:
- Defects in materials: Manufacturing defects, faulty materials, or substandard components
- Defects in workmanship: Assembly errors, welding defects, or manufacturing mistakes
- Functional failures: Product fails to operate as designed under normal use conditions
- Premature component failure: Parts that fail before their expected lifespan under normal use
Normal Use: Refers to operating the product according to the manufacturer's instructions, safety guidelines, and user manual specifications.
4. What Is NOT Covered (Warranty Exclusions)
Manufacturer warranties do NOT cover:
4.1 Misuse, Abuse, or Improper Operation:
- Using the product contrary to instructions or safety guidelines
- Operating the product with unauthorized fuels (e.g., gasoline, kerosene instead of bio-ethanol)
- Overloading fuel capacity or exceeding maximum burn times
- Using products in extreme weather conditions beyond specifications
- Negligence or failure to follow maintenance instructions
4.2 Improper Installation:
- Installation that does not comply with manufacturer instructions
- Failure to maintain required clearances from combustible materials
- Installation that violates local building codes or fire codes
- DIY installation when professional installation is required or recommended
- Installation in locations not approved by the manufacturer (e.g., enclosed spaces without ventilation)
4.3 Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs:
- Alterations, modifications, or customizations not authorized by the manufacturer
- Repairs performed by unauthorized technicians or service providers
- Use of non-genuine replacement parts or accessories
- Tampering with safety features or control systems
- Firmware modifications or attempts to bypass software restrictions (for smart products)
4.4 Normal Wear and Tear:
- Cosmetic damage including scratches, dents, fading, or discoloration from normal use
- Gradual degradation of performance over time
- Components designed to wear out with regular use (e.g., gaskets, seals, ignition systems)
- Surface rust or oxidation in outdoor installations (unless specified as weatherproof)
4.5 External Damage or Environmental Factors:
- Damage from accidents, drops, impacts, or physical trauma
- Damage from power surges, lightning strikes, or electrical issues
- Damage from fire, flood, earthquake, or other natural disasters

- Used, refurbished, or "open box" products not sold directly by Backyard At Ease
- Products without valid proof of purchase from an authorized retailer
4.9 Shipping and Delivery Damage:
- Damage that occurs during shipping or delivery must be reported as freight damage within 24-48 hours (see Section 6)
- Shipping damage is NOT covered under product warranty and must be filed as an insurance claim
5. Product Quality Guarantee
Your satisfaction is our priority. If your product arrives defective, damaged, or malfunctions within the warranty period, we will work with you to provide:
- Full replacement of the defective product
- Repair or replacement of defective components
- Full refund (at manufacturer's discretion or as required by law)
IMPORTANT - Immediate Inspection Required:
To ensure warranty coverage for shipping damage or initial defects:
- Inspect packaging upon delivery - Check for visible damage to the exterior packaging BEFORE signing the delivery receipt
- Note damage on delivery receipt - If any damage is visible, write "damaged" or "box damaged" on the carrier's delivery form
-
Document damage immediately - Take photos of:
- Damaged exterior packaging (all sides)
- Damaged product or components
- Product labels or SKU numbers
- Packing materials showing signs of impact
- Report within 24-48 hours - Email photos and details to support@backyardatease.com with your order number
Suspected Damage:
If you cannot open the package immediately upon delivery but suspect damage based on the condition of the exterior packaging, you may write "suspect damage" on the delivery receipt and inspect the contents within 24 hours. Report any damage immediately.
CRITICAL: Failure to report shipping damage within 24-48 hours may void your ability to file a freight insurance claim. Shipping damage is separate from warranty coverage and must be reported promptly.
